Airing for 6 seasons, from January 20, 1998-May 14, 2003, it starred James Van Der Beek as Dawson Leery; Katie Holmes as his best friend and love interest, Joey Potter; Joshua Jackson as their friend Pacey Witter; and Michelle Williams as Jen Lindley, a NYC transplant to Capeside.

Dawson Leery is an introspective 15-year-old and aspiring filmmaker in the small New England town of Capeside, Massachusetts. Since childhood, he has been best friends with Josephine "Joey" Potter, who routinely comes over to his house through a ladder into his bedroom for movie-watching and platonic sleepovers. Tomboy Joey, who lost her mother to cancer and whose father is in prison for drug trafficking, lives with her older sister Bessie, who runs the restaurant The Icehouse. Dawson works at a video rental store with his other best friend Pacey Witter, an underachieving class clown who occasionally squabbles with Joey. Dawson and Joey dance around a growing attraction to each other, but their dynamic shifts with the arrival of Jen Lindley, who has moved to Capeside from New York City to live with her grandparents.

My Review: ✨📹💛✝️💛📹✨

I remember watching a few episodes of the series "Dawson's Creek" when I was still living in Heide-Kalthout, Belgium and I remembered liking the episodes that I watched back then a lot. I told my two friends about this new series that came out on TV and they made fun of the series. Decades later I decided to watch the entire series online. And I must say that I really like the series! The series goes about friendship, first loves, exploration of your first sexual experiences and what most people in the 90s did not like to see about young men who come out as being homosexuals. But is the truth, that there are young men or teenagers who come out has being homosexual, so in this respect it does happen!

The main character in the series is Dawson Leery who has his best friend Joey Potter come over often to watch movies and or series. Joey Potter just turned 16 years old and she tells Dawson: "I can't sleep over anymore I am getting to old for this." Where Dawson responds: "Don't worry about it, this is just like old times Joey!"

Dawson's dream is to become a movie or series producer in Hollywood and he tries his best to achieve that goal. His favourite movie producer is Steven Spielberg and he has nearly every poster of every movie that Steven Spielberg produced hanging on his wall.

The young life of Dawson Leery can be seen as a self-fulfilling prophecy! Dawson Leery works his entire young adult life to become a movie producer and ends up becoming one movie producer that does a series based on his own personal youth while growing up.

While watching the series I learned a lot about the different characters in the series. Joey Potter grows up without a dad (who is in prison for dealing in drugs) and without a mother (who died of cancer) and who is living with her sister who is married to an afro-american while living in a small town in the USA. Joey tries her best at school so that she can go to study in New York. Joey Potter is a very intelligent and ambitious young woman who wants to succeed and wants to leave Cape Side as soon as possible.

The best friend of Dawson is Pacey Witter who is the so called "loser" of the family, who does not really perform well at school and that he believes that he is doomed to stay in Cape Side forever. To be honest I find Pacey Witter the most relatable character in the series. He is no perfect but he knows when to tell someone the truth about any subject. He somehow feels that his older brother is not really "straight" and keeps making jokes about this throughout the entire series. Pacey's father is really mean to him and sees him as a delinquent and the black sheep of the family. Whereas Dawson is a single child and has his supportive and great father and a great and supportive mother there to help him.

Jenny is this troubled girl from New York that moves to Cape Side because she got in trouble in New York and she is told by her parents to move to her grandmother in Cape Side. She brings in the extra spice in the series.

While I was watching the series I was in a state of relaxed hypnosis or trance. I somehow was reliving the entire series, like I was there myself. It was a series that should relax me somehow and tell me a story at the same time. That my greatest dream was to actually make good movies and or series. And I remembered while growing up my favorite movies where all produced by Steven Spielberg like ET, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Jurassic Park! So in this respect while growing up my favorite producer was Steven Spielberg. I just never really thought about this. After 15+ years of activism and making YouTube videos and becoming really good with the software and hardware that I had making these videos. I realized that producing videos is really fun to do and that I loved making them! When I produced my own personal miniseries in the Star Trek Universe I experienced first hand how much fun movie or video production could be! Perhaps in another reality or universe I might be a famous movie and or series producer! Maybe if I would have watched the series while growing up I would have considered becoming a movie producer. I believe the series inspired many young men and women to go into the movie business and become a movie producer like Dawson Leery became in the series!

I believe the series depicts an approximation of a real story in the pan-multiversal continuum! If you want a nice, calm and relaxing series then I suggest you watch it!
