Cobra Kai is an American martial arts comedy drama television series created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, and distributed by Sony Pictures Television. It serves as a sequel to the original The Karate Kid films created by Robert Mark Kamen.[1] The series stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, reprising their respective roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence from the film series, alongside Courtney Henggeler, Xolo MaridueΓ±a, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Peyton List, Vanessa Rubio, and Dallas Dupree Young. Martin Kove and Thomas Ian Griffith also reprise their roles from the films as part of the main cast, with many others returning in guest or recurring roles.

Thirty-four years after being defeated by Daniel LaRusso in the 1984 All-Valley Karate Tournament at the end of The Karate Kid (1984), Johnny Lawrence suffers from alcoholism and depression. He works as a part-time handyman and lives in an apartment in Reseda, Los Angeles, having fallen far from his wealthy lifestyle in Encino. He has an estranged son named Robby, from a previous relationship, whom he has abandoned. In contrast, Daniel is now the owner of a successful car dealership and is married to co-owner Amanda with whom he has two children: Sam and Anthony. However, Daniel often struggles to meaningfully connect with his children especially after his friend and mentor Mr. Miyagi passed away prior to the series' beginning.

After using karate to defend his teenage neighbor Miguel Diaz from a group of bullies, Johnny agrees to teach Miguel the way of the fist and re-opens Cobra Kai. The revived dojo attracts a group of bullied social outcasts who find camaraderie and self-confidence under Johnny's tutelage. The reopening of Cobra Kai reignites Johnny's rivalry with Daniel, who responds by opening the Miyagi-do dojo, whose students include Sam and Robby, leading to a rivalry between the respective dojos.

My Review: ✨πŸ₯‹πŸ✝️🐍πŸ₯‹✨

I remember watching the first season of Cobra Kai and I loved it from the start! I identified with Johnny Lawrence the most during the entire series! (in the original "Karate Kid" movies I identified with Daniel LaRusso acted by Ralph Macchio!) And I loved how they portrayed his character during the course of the entire series! There is lots of humor, action, martial arts and really informative and great conversations in between the different characters! I loved the way that they took a favorite movie of mine "The Karate Kid" and made a series on the so called "loser" of that movie and created a great new series based in the Karate Kid Universe! The series taught me a lot! That if you train young men and young women in the art of combat (any form) that you need to teach them a form of honor code like the japanese Bushido Code or the ancient chivarly codex (the medieval knightly system with its religious, moral, and social code)! If you train the next generation without this type of conditioning, you are training potential weapons with no sense of honor or moral code! In my eyes all men and women should be taught how to fight in all aspects of combat (be it karate or military service). This should only be used for self defence though! In this respect Sensei LaRusso is right! We should learn karate to be able to defend ourselves and not to attack others! But Sensei Lawrence also has a point! If you are facing an enemy like Satan that would destroy you and your entire people and family without any hesitation, then you should follow his code or style of karate!

In this series though it is about teenagers learning how to fight karate for defensive purposes! And they fight in tournaments to prove how good they are! And they should not harm or even kill each other with these abilities!

This story serves as a redemption arc for John Kreese (the apparent anti hero and in the series).

I personally trained a couple of months of Kung Fu in San Francisco, California in 1994 and I must say I did like it a lot! But I quit after a short time and started to play soccer instead! Years later I tried Krav Maga in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, I only did it for 6 months, but the feeling that you get when you learn how to fight any fighting sports is simply amazing! You become more confident, stronger, faster and you start to believe that you can truly defend yourself in a possible dangerous situation. But if you look at YouTube videos of actual street fights, you know that learning how to fight in a dojo or by a sensei is nothing compared to real life fights where possibly your life depends on it! There is where Sensei Kreese and Sensei Silver come in. They do have a point: if this were a real life threatening situation then their tactics and strategies to take out the opponent as quickly as possible are justified! But in the series it is about fighting sports! And it is not a war! So in that sense they are both wrong about their fighting tactics and strategies!

I loved all seasons of Cobra Kai! If you want to watch a great series on the art of Karate with a long history going back to 1984 then I suggest you watch all seasons of Cobra Kai!

Metaphysical Meaning: ✨πŸ₯‹πŸ✝️🐍πŸ₯‹✨

All men and women should be taught the skills and knowledge on how to defend themselves in any possible situation! Be it solely relying on your own body (fighting sports like Karate), be it fighting with knives and swords (like ninjas) or be it fighting in a military (with real guns and advanced weapons). This is why in my opinion children should be taught from the very beginning on how to fight to be able to defend themselves in any given situation (like the ancient Spartans)!

On our Earth learning how to fight Karate takes years! In the series these teenageres learn within months and get their black belts after just one season! This might be not realistic, but I can assure you that we in the New Golden Age will be able to learn very fast the different fighting sports out there! All of us will upgraded in such a way that we can learn and become the best warriors of all of history! With upgraded memory, hand eye coordination, advanced body control and so on we will be able to learn at a really fast pace!

This series is an approximation of real story that actually happened in the pan-multiversal continuum!
