The Adjustment Bureau is a 2011 American science fiction romantic thriller film directed and co-produced by George Nolfi in his directorial debut. The screenplay by Nolfi is loosely based on Philip K. Dick's 1954 short story "Adjustment Team". The film stars Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Anthony Mackie, John Slattery, Michael Kelly, and Terence Stamp. It follows an ambitious young congressman who finds himself entranced by a beautiful ballerina, but mysterious forces are conspiring to prevent their love affair.

My review of the movie "the Adjustment Bureau": 🙏📕❤️✝️❤️📕🙏

I went to watch the movie "the Adjustment Bureau" in 2011 after seeing the german version of the movie trailer where the german name of the movie was "The Plan" or in German "Der Plan". I believed back then that it was a special type of movie that portrays part of the truth. So I went to see the movie at the movie theater in Berlin Tiergarten.

Short synopsis by Wikipedia:

In 2006, Brooklyn Democratic congressman David Norris unsuccessfully runs for the United States Senate. While rehearsing his concession speech in a men's bathroom, he meets Elise Sellas, who had been hiding after crashing a wedding and has overheard him, and they kiss. David does not get Elise's name before they are separated, but, inspired by her, he delivers an unusually candid speech that is well-received and makes him a favorite for the next Senate election.

A month later, a man named Harry Mitchell receives an assignment from a man named Richardson at Madison Square Park, which is near David's home. He is supposed to spill coffee on David's shirt by 7:05 a.m., forcing David to go home to change. However, Mitchell falls asleep, so David catches his intended bus and meets Elise again. Before she gets off the bus, David gets her name and phone number.

David arrives at work before he was supposed to and finds his coworkers frozen and being examined by unfamiliar men, Richardson among them. He attempts to escape, but is incapacitated and taken to a warehouse. After some debate about what to do, Richardson reveals to David the existence of the "Adjustment Bureau", an organization that ensures people's lives proceed according to "the Plan" created by "the Chairman". Humans only have the appearance of free will, as the Bureau's experiments with withdrawing their influence resulted in the Dark Ages and the horrors of the first half of the twentieth century. Richardson says that David was not supposed to see Elise a second time, destroys the card with her phone number on it, and releases David, warning him that his memory and personality will be erased if he tells anyone about what he has learned.

In short the so called agents of the "Adjustment Bureau" manipulate certain people and events such that they do certain things in their lives or not! The Agents of the Adjustment Bureau tell David that if he pursues Elise and founds a family with her, that he will never become president of the United States of America and that Elise will never become the succesful Ballerina that she was supposed to become!

Because one of the Agents of the AB fell asleep David meets Elise on the bus again and gets her number which he shouldn't have gotten! The AB then tries more drastic measures and freezes time when David enters his office floor and sees everybody frozen in time. Only the AB Agents are working and manipulating the minds of the frozen people. He becomes more and more entangled in this reality and David defies the ABs orders and refuses their "plan" for him and Elise.

The movie is about freedom of choice, free will and your supposed destiny! As stated in the trailer:

Life is a series of events, this glance, this events, they were all planned (their plan).

In essence the AB Agents take order from a superior entity, be it God or the Chairman (this movie is similar to the Matrix). And David and Elise fight until the very end to stop fulfilling their "chosen destiny" by the AB Agents or the Chairman.

The AB Agents desperately try to fulfill their orders by their own superior to make sure that everything goes according to the "plan" or a scripted event. Every Agent has some sort of magical or digital book with them where they can see a line for every person and where this line leads to.

David and Elise do not give up and decide to run for it and to fight for their rights to choose their own destiny and life! To be together instead of wasting their lives on a political career or a ballerina career. At the very end the AB Agents get them ontop of a rooftop, and then they both give up. But then some miracle happens and the books of the AB Agents start changing! They show the end of the supposed plan or created plan, and show that there is no longer a script for both David and Elise! They are finally free to choose their own lives and destinies!

I had many synchronicities while watching this movie! Because I too believed in destiny after waking up in 2007! I too believed that my life was somehow scripted or written already! And that we have a choice to follow our path or not! It is a difference to know the path than to walk the path (Neo). I felt horrible after waking up, and thinking that the entire world is going to hell, and that we cannot do anything to save the world. But we can and will save the world with God's help! I started making YouTube videos back then, but I said too many truths about the ones that truly rule over us and they censored me on YouTube over and over again. Even the police stormed my apartment in Berlin, Moabit because of these videos.

At the same time I was trapped in a spiritual battle or spiritual war with demonic entities from the spiritual realms. And I knew that I had to, like a figure in a video game, come to certain conclusions and come to certain insights. This spiritual battle made me mentally very strong. As I kept fighting this satanic spirit that kept attacking me over and over again, I became stronger and stronger!

Conclusion: 🙏📕❤️✝️❤️📕🙏

In my eyes the Adjustment Bureau is a movie that portrays part of the whole story of Jesus Christ. In this movie David is the male aspect of creation that wants to be together with his natural counterpart or soulmate Elise! And the AB Agents don't want to allow that to happen, because they both need to fulfill their parts in the grand story of things. But both David and Elise choose for love and freedom! In the end the AB Agents are told to back off, and that the scripts or written paths disappear. Meaning that the Chairman or Father in the Heavens approves of these changes and that the Plan of Salvation for both of them is over and that they can finally choose their own path!

Of course we need to save the world first! And when Jesus Christ returns and judges the world with true justice, he will marry his personal Elise or spiritual soulmate as depicted in the Bible! And after this we will no longer need to follow scripted events as portrayed in the movie!

This movie gave me a lot of hope back then in 2011 and I found it very good! The story is really well written and the effects remind you of the Matrix movies! If you want to watch a good movie then I suggest you watch the movie "The Adjustment Bureau" or in German "Der Plan"!
