The series is set in the fictional town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, a town charged with supernatural history. After I became a vampire, I tried my best not to feed on humans! I fed of animal blood and tried to control my lust for blood. But many times, I lost control, and I killed and fed of humans. I did not know what to do. This never-ending cycle of feeding and feeling guilty about it all the time, really messed me up!
I fell in love with a beautiful woman named Katherine. She made me fall madly in love with her. And I was ready to do anything for her! Then she told me that I could live forever with her. I did not believe that vampires were real, until Katherine turned me into one! I did not know what to do. My father and his comrades would hunt me down if they ever found out! So, I decided to flee my hometown.
What I learned is that some beings cannot be saved. I tried my best to help and save my first love that betrayed me, but I couldn’t help her! She was simply too evil! In my eyes only Jesus Christ can help redeem and save the people. Vampires and humans have their limits and can only do what they can do within their own limits. You have to learn your own limitations of what you can do and not do!
I would like to dedicate this song to my brother Damon and my friend Elena! Thank you for helping me all these years! Furthermore, I would like to dedicate this song to Bonnie and Caroline! I first watched some of the episodes from this series while I was still living in Berlin, Germany. I found the characters in the series very appealing and attractive. Then I stopped watching it.
I restarted watching the Vampire Diaries when I moved to Croatia. I found the series very well written, and I somehow could relate to most of the characters in the series. Stefan Salvatore is a vampire that falls in love with a high school student Elena Gilbert that is a doppelgänger of Katherine Pierce. The story evolves around this relationship over the different seasons. When Damon Salvatore enters the show, it becomes kind of difficult for Stefan Salvatore, because he knows that Damon Salvatore just does what he pleases. He kills humans for his own personal feeding and doesn't care at all about them. Whereas Stefan Salvatore tries to feed of game and rodents to still his thirst for blood!
It is a dark but very well made series intertwined with a love story!

Vampires exist in the other world or "Green Land". The one vampire that visited me in Berlin back in 2008 was a child. She could float and fly around. I woke up in the early morning hours, and was not fully awake. Then I looked at the right side of my bed and I saw a small female child vampire hovering there. She had a pale skin colour and fixated me with her big eyes. I could see that she had fangs under her lips. She stared at me and had an emotionless expression on her face. Then suddendly she attacked me and bit me in my lower arm. I felt the pain, and felt how she was draining me of my ethereal blood.
There are good vampires and bad vampires. Most of the vampires just want to live in peace and try not to feed on humans.
