The Fifth Element is a 1997 English-language French science-fiction action film conceived and directed by Luc Besson, and co-written by Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. It stars Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich, Gary Oldman, Ian Holm, and Chris Tucker. Primarily set in the 23rd century, the film's central plot involves the survival of planet Earth, which becomes the responsibility of Korben Dallas (Willis), a taxicab driver and former special forces major, after a young woman (Jovovich) falls into his cab. To accomplish this, Dallas joins forces with her to recover four mystical stones essential for the defence of Earth against the impending attack of a malevolent cosmic entity.

In 1914, aliens known as Mondoshawans meet their contact on Earth, a priest of a secret order, at an ancient Egyptian temple. They take the only weapon capable of defeating a great evil that appears every 5000 years, promising to protect it and return it before the great evil's re-emergence. The weapon consists of the four classical elements, as four engraved stones, plus a sarcophagus containing a "fifth element".
In the 23rd century, the great evil appears in deep space as a giant living fireball. It destroys an armed Earth spaceship as it heads to Earth. The Mondoshawans' current human contact on Earth, priest Vito Cornelius, informs the president of the Federated Territories of the great evil's history and the weapon that can stop it.
On their way to Earth, a Mondoshawan spacecraft carrying the weapon is ambushed and destroyed by a crew of Mangalores, alien mercenaries hired by Earth industrialist Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg, who is working for the great evil. A severed hand in metal armor from the wreckage of the spacecraft is brought to New York City. From this, the government uses biotechnology to recreate the original occupant of the sarcophagus, a humanoid woman named Leeloo, who remembers her previous life. Alarmed by the unfamiliar surroundings and high security, she escapes and jumps off a ledge, crashing into the flying taxicab of Korben Dallas, a former major in Earth's special forces.

My review: ✨🚀🌎✝️🌎🚀✨
I first watched the movie "The Fifth Element" in 1997 when it came out in Belgium, and I must say that I loved this incredible scifi movie! I loved the special effects, the story and the beautiful characters that appeared in the movie! Mixing age old myths, legends and prophecies into an incredible storyline made this movie a real hit in my eyes!
Most of friends back then and my own older sister also loved the movie! I loved the scifi elements of the possible future we saw in the movie! The entire high tech and modern city with flying cars and the real dangerous police force that would use lethal missiles and guns from their cars to enforce the future laws made this an incredible rollercoaster ride of a movie!
In the movie there is an apparent theological order that has been guarding the secrets of the existence of extraterrestrial life hidden for thousands of years! And after so many years a certain ritual has to be done to stop a great evil from attacking or consuming Earth! This ritual is repeated over and over again such that Earth can keep existing and living in peace!
When one these alien spacecrafts returns to Earth such that a guardian priest named Father Vito Cornelius can make the ritual again to save Earth from this evil force that is prophezised to appear again, pirates shoot down this spaceship.
Special scientists recover the DNA of this special individual that is onboard the crashed ship and then use a biological 3D printer to recreate the so called "perfect being" named Leeloo (Milla Jovovich). When she is brought back to life Leeloo escapes the facility and then falls down into a taxi. The taxi driver is ex Earth Special Forces Commando Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis). And this is where the story starts then to unfold!
I simply loved the movie! It mixes science fiction with ancient myths and legends and prophecies about some sinister and dark force that returns to Earth in cycles! And this force can only be stopped using the Fifth Element (Leeloo)!
I believe once when I went to Antwerp, Belgium from my village in Heide-Kalmthout that I saw Milla Jovovich while walking at the town square. I think we even locked eyes once, but I did not have the courage to talk to her. I just walked by and though: "Was that Leeloo?"
According to my metaphysical experiences the movie "The Fifth Element" depicts an approximation of real story in the pan-multiversal continuum! Leeloo represents the female side of creation who is trying to solve the problem and Korben Dallas is the male side of creation trying to solve the problem! If you want to watch a really great movie made in the 1990s then I suggest you watch this movie!
